No. All racers must register online by Wednesday, February 11 at 6 PM. There is no same-day registration, except for the Junior Vasa and Community Relay. No exceptions.
- Friday, February 13: 4:00–7:00 p.m. at Timber Ridge
- Saturday, February 14: 8:00 a.m. at Timber Ridge
- Sunday, February 15: 8:00 a.m. at Timber Ridge
Age Class winner perks: Each age class winner in the 27K Freestyle race will receive free entry into next year's race. 2nd place finishers will receive 1/2 off, 3rd place finishers will receive 1/3 off. This only applies to the 27 K Freestyle race for male and female racers and you must enter the 27K race in 2027 to receive this discount.
First Time Skiers: Any first time skier entering Sunday's 6K Tour receives a 50% discount, provided you use the discount code NEWBIE2026 at check out.
Combo Discounts
- Register for the George Kuhn Half Marathon 27K Freestyle Ski Race on Saturday and the Lombard Loppet 15K Classic on Sunday at the same time to receive a $20 discount. These races are a part of the Michigan Cup Challenge.
- Register for the 50K Classic/Freestyle on Saturday and the Lombard Loppet 15K Classic on Sunday at the same time to receive a $20 discount.
You’ll select your starting wave during registration. Elite and advanced skiers should place themselves accordingly, while respecting other participants. The Vasa reserves the right to adjust wave placements. Wave/Corral Selection Guide
The Park Place Hotel has reserved a block of rooms for racers at $168/night (taxes included). There are only 10 rooms available at this rate—reserve early!

Yes. The Event Hall at Timber Ridge will be open for warming throughout the weekend.
Yes. Bags can be dropped off at packet pickup or at the start line. Bag tags will be available when you pick up your packet.
Yes. Designated changing spaces are available, but limited. You may need to change in your vehicle if space is full.
Parking is available inside Timber Ridge and along designated nearby roads. Please follow directions from the parking crew and all posted signs.
- Park on the east side of Six Mile (from Hammond to Healy Lake)
- Park on the north side of Healy Lane/Powerline and Dogwood
- Park on the east and south sides of Whispering Oaks
- Additional parking available on Michigan Road (lots 40–60)
* Cars parked illegally or too close to the road may be ticketed or towed.
Yes. Each racer receives a hot meal and snacks as part of their registration. Food trucks will also be on-site with food and drinks available for purchase.
Live results are available at [VASA RESULTS] or by scanning the QR code posted near the awards tent. Staff and volunteers cannot provide results on-site.
Yes! Join us for the Community Celebration and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, February 14, from 5–8 PM at the Park Place Hotel.
- Appetizers, live music, and a cash bar
- Podium recognition for top 3 male/female overall and age group winners
- Tickets are $10 per person, advance purchase only (limit 400 guests). Purchase tickets here.
Sunday awards will be given at Timber Ridge after the race.
- For emergencies: Call 911.
- For non-emergency assistance: Call the HELP Line listed on your race bib.
- The National Nordic Ski Patrol will also be available on course.
If you leave the course before finishing, please report your bib number to race staff or notify the medical tent at the finish line.
Yes! Timber Ridge is pet-friendly. Pets must be leashed and supervised at all times. Pets are not allowed on the race course, in concession areas, or inside the lodge.
Skis and bikes are available locally at Brick Wheels in Traverse City.
If conditions at Timber Ridge are unsuitable, races will be moved to Hickory Hills Recreation Area, which features an FIS-homologated Nordic course with artificial snow.
- 27K and 15K races will be shortened to approximately 12K
- 6K races will remain the same
- Junior Vasa and Adaptive Race will take place on the 1K Lighted Loop
- Fat bike races will remain at Timber Ridge.
