COACH Z
Coach Bill Zarrella is the head coach of the track and field program here at the Ranch. He begins his third year coaching the boys distance runners in track and just completed his fifth year as head boys cross country coach. Zarrella brings valuable experience in cross country and indoor and outdoor track. Zarrella coached at the high school level for 8 years in Massachusetts before moving to Florida to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
During his time as a Deputy, Zarrella continued coaching and mentoring AAU athletes. Zarrella retired from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office in 2019 after 22 years.
"Coach Z" brings a seasoned perspective and valuable knowledge. He is excited to continue strengthening the program.

COACH RAE ANN
Coach Rae Ann Darling Reed is the girls middle and long distance track coach at the Ranch and just completed her second year as girls cross country coach. The Mustangs have competed at the XC State finals both years. Darling Reed has coached high school cross country and track for 20 years at schools in Florida and Massachusetts.
Darling Reed competed in both cross country and track in high school and college. After graduating from Brown University and International University of Monaco, she focused on running longer distances. Darling Reed has experience training for and racing distances from 800 meters up to 57 miles. She has completed the Boston Marathon seven times. Darling Reed holds the following coaching certifications: USA Track & Field (USATF) Level 2 and Cross Country and Road Runners Club of America (RRCA). In addition to coaching at the high school level, she runs her own business, RunnerGirl Inc., coaches adults of all ages through her non-profit, RunManatee.com, and works part time as a Fit Expert at Fleet Feet Sarasota.

COACH GRIFFIN
Coach Sirlester Griffin is returning for his 4th year as a track coach at the Ranch. He is the 100M and 400M hurdles, and long/triple jump coach. He also coaches the Lakewood Ranch JV football team.

COACH CHRIS
Coach Chris Monoki is returning after his debut year as the sprint coach at LRHS. Coach Chris is the Head Coach of My Brother's/Sister's Keeper (MBSK) Youth Track Club at its Manatee County location. He is also an assistant football coach for the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs. Coach Chris has recently acquired the USATF Level 1 Track and Field coaching certification.
