We are honored to participate in the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation 5K in support of the autism community — a mission that lives in our hearts every day.
Our sons, Keaton and Grady, are the reason we run. Through their diagnosis and all that came with it, our family quickly learned how complex and overwhelming the autism journey can be. It’s why we started Raising Harts — a nonprofit rooted in love, built to support other families navigating similar paths.
The name Raising Harts is a reflection of our mission and our community — families who are raising children and young adults on the spectrum, raising awareness, raising hope, and raising one another. We believe that every child deserves access to the support and services they need to thrive. Every family deserves to feel seen, understood, and empowered.
Through Raising Harts, we:
*Support newly diagnosed families with mentorship, resources, and a listening ear
*Host inclusive events and sensory-friendly gatherings where kids can shine
*Create opportunities for connection, education, and shared experience
*Advocate for a world where all children are celebrated and supported — just as they are
This 5K is more than a race. It’s a chance to walk, run, and rally for families who are doing the hard and beautiful work of raising children who deserve nothing less than everything.
We run for Keaton and Grady.
We run for every family on this path.
We run for the Harts we’re raising — together.
Please consider donating to our team or joining us. Your support means the world.
With heartfelt thanks,
Candice and Kenny
