Safety monitors will monitor children’s safety, keep an eye on water’s edge areas of Brown’s Island, and help keep things running smoothly. There may be a higher risk of elopement for some autistic children, and we will plan to have physical barriers and safety monitors to help keep guests safe.

Finish Line Attendant volunteers help us get ducks from the water back to the container to head back to storage. Ducks will be handed to the finish line attendants from the canal, and volunteers will form a line to pass laundry baskets of ducks to the container.

You will at the shore of the canal, but may need to get in the water so please wear appropriate attire. We recommend bringing a change of clothes as this volunteer role can get messy.
