Venue Set Up & Break Down - Deutsches Haus High Priority

Volunteers will help set up tents, tables, chairs, signage, and everything else needed throughout the venue area. After the race is completed, you will be tasked to help break down the venue area and bring any materials over to the equipment manager.

You will check in with the Task Coordinator at the Fair Grounds and be assigned set up duties as needed. After the final race participant exits the Fair Grounds, you will assist in breakdown.

Start / Finish Line Medium Priority

Make sure to check in at the volunteer table upon arrival.

Volunteers will be responsible for helping set up the start/finish line structure, place barricades, and put out all necessary signage. After the last person finishes the race, you will then break down everything you helped put up and bring materials to the equipment manager.

Course Pointers Medium Priority

Volunteers will be pre-positioned along the race course and responsible for making sure runners go the correct way. Make sure to check in at the volunteer table upon arrival to find out where your task position will be located.

Water Stations

Water Station - Start Line Medium Priority

October 18, 2025

Details

Volunteers will report to the Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots. The water stop will be inside the track.

May need to lift up to 5-gallon jugs of water.

Volunteers will be filling up cups of water prior to the race for participants near the start line. After the race starts this water stop will be moved to the exit of the Fair Grounds. Once the last race participants exit the Fair Grounds, the water stop will need to be broke down and clean up.

Water Station - On Course Medium Priority

Details

Make sure to check in at the volunteer table upon arrival.

Volunteers will be responsible for pouring water into cups, handing it out to the participants, replenishing empty cups as needed and cleaning up the area once finished. You will be provided with two tables, 5-gallon water jugs, cups, gloves, garbage bags, a rake, and receptacles. A course official, who follows behind the last participant, will let the water station know their task has been completed.

Water Station - Finish Line Medium Priority

Details

Volunteers will report directly to the Finish Festival Area at the Deutsches Haus. The water stop will located on Moss St, after the finish line.

May need to lift up to 5-gallon jugs of water.

Volunteers will be filling up cups of water for the finishers and be manning the stop until the last race participant finishes. Afterwards, the water stop will need to be broke down and the area cleaned up.

Registration & Check-In

Race Day Giveaways Medium Priority

Details

Make sure to check in at the volunteer table upon arrival.

Volunteers will be responsible for handing out race giveaways to participants. If it is a sized item, the participant will be given the size they requested/ordered when they registered. You will pull the giveaway tab on the participants BIB once he or she has received their giveaway (if needed). Participants will only be able to switch out their sized item ONLY until after the race has completed. Any issues should be referred to the volunteer coordinator or race director.
