Kids Run SARR Training Program

SARR, "A Place for Every Pace!" invites the youth of our community to join the Kids Run SARR Training Program!  Children ages 7-12 are welcome to register for this unique and fun twice a week group training that fosters physical fitness, healthy habits, respect, goal-setting, and running knowledge all in a safe, fun environment.

Dates: April 21 - June 16, 2024.
Kickoff: Lady Bird Johnson Park (pavilion back by the Trailhead), 10700 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78217
Cost: $40 for SARR members; registration requires a SARR Family Membership
Includes a training team shirt.
Graduation race: SARR Texas Sun Showdown 5K on June 16, 2024.

Youth of all abilities are welcome to join and will be placed into ability-based pace groups during training sessions. This program is non-competitive and includes fun running activities. Training includes proper running form, running etiquette, running techniques and pacing.

Program includes two group running sessions a week and one session as a family "homework" activity.
Weekend training day on Sundays at 6:30am.
Weekday training day on Wednesdays at 6:00pm.

Coached by SARR's experienced RRCA Certified Running Coaches.
Low coach to child ratio, small pacing groups for individual attention.
All coaches and volunteers for SARR Kids Training are background checked and specifically trained in coaching children.
