Description
Join the Texas Tech Hispanic Student Society for our first annual 5K! This year's theme is bubbles. We will have food vendors and local affiliates on-site as well as plenty of entertainment. This race is open to all ages and is also pet friendly! The proceeds of this event will be going towards scholarships for Texas Tech students and high school seniors.
The registration fee includes the event t-shirt, an entry to win the scholarship (if you qualify for it), and a finisher medal! Prizes for the top 3 runners in each category of the "Competitive" 5K will receive a prize.
If you are either a Texas Tech student that will be enrolled for Fall 2022, or an upcoming graduating senior from any local high school, and you register and attend this event, you have a chance to win a scholarship from the Hispanic Student Society! If you qualify for the scholarship, please also fill out the paper registration form (under the event information tab) in order to be entered in the raffle.
Check-in will be from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM for all races. "Competitive" 5K will start at 9:30 AM. Awards will be held after the 5K. We will also have a Fun Run where bubbles and a slide to the finish, will be held at 12:15 PM. It is highly encouraged to carpool with someone in order to maximize space.
