Come Be Bold in the Cold!
Join us for the 26th running of Bold in the Cold, Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers (LGRAW) club's signature Winter event. Choose from a 5K or 15K race, both wind through the scenic C. Shane Wilbanks Trail along Lake Grapevine, offering breathtaking views of the lake.
This race is not only a community tradition but also a vital part of LGRAW’s annual operating budget, supporting our members and programs. In addition, a portion of this year’s race proceeds will be donated directly to the Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers Scholarship Fund.

Registration Pricing
- Oct 11 - Oct 31, 2025: $30 (5K), $45 (15K).
- Nov 01 - Nov 31, 2025: $35 (5K), $50 (15K).
- Dec 01 - Jan 24, 2026: $40 (5K), $55 (15K).
- Race Day Jan 24, 2026: $45 (5K), $60 (15K).
- RAW members: $5 discount off listed prices through Jan. 24, 2026.
Important Race Details
Race Day Information
- Start Time: Both the 5K and 15K races will start together at 8:00 AM.
- Timing: We will be using the IPICO chip timing system. Participants will pick up their timing chip on Race Day.
- All timing chips must be returned at the finish line. Volunteers will assist with collection.
Aid Stations
- Aid stations will provide water and Gatorade.
- The 15K course passes aid stations four times.
- The 5K course passes aid stations twice.
Registration Policies
- All event registrations are non-refundable. Race insurance is available through RunSignUp.
- Transfers Between Events: Participants may transfer between the 5K and 15K (e.g., 15K → 5K). This must be done through RunSignUp by 7:45 AM on Saturday, 1/24/2026.
- Transfers to Another Person: Participants may transfer their registration to another individual. This must also be done through RunSignUp by 7:45 AM on Saturday, 1/24/2026.

- Weekly Social Run: Hop & Sprint every Tuesday at 6:30 PM at Hop & Sting Brewery.
