Race Staging Downtown Tucson
We're thrilled to once again stage this event in the historic Armory Park section of Downtown Tucson.
The start/finish and all the pre- and post-race activities iconic Downtown Tucson locations, Armory Park and the Children's Museum.
Armory Park Neighborhood
Much of the race takes place on the roadways in the Armory Park Neighborhood, an History Residential Distrcit isted on the NRHP since 1976. Click here for information on the Neighborhood Association.
Armory Park
Currently under renovation and scheduled to open in June, 2026. From Visit Tucson: Originally called Military Plaza Park, Armory Park dates back to Presidio days, when the military who guarded the Tucson Presidio were stationed here. The soldiers were later moved to Ft. Lowell. The site was also the location of an armory. The original Carnegie Library, west of the park, is now the home of the Tucson Children's Museum. The adjacent Armory Senior Center was built in 1975 and is host to many senior activities including social services, dances, fitness classes, and senior club activities. Features: Band shell area, shuffleboard courts, several war memorials.
Children's Museum
From the Children's Museum website here: Children’s Museum Tucson (CMT) at 200 S. Sixth Ave. in Downtown Tucson, Arizona is our flagship location. Located in the historic Carnegie Library, CMT has 17,000 square feet space with 10 indoor exhibits and a beautiful outdoor courtyard with lots of space for kids to play and imagine. Our exhibits and programs are geared toward kids up to 10 years old. Our Fiesta Room offers private party space for birthday parties and the Museum is a great space to rent out for family or business events as well.
