Where is the race begin held?
Seneca Park, 2222 St. Paul Street, along the eastern bank of the Genesee River in the most northern portion of the park near the longhouse shelter. Race does NOT begin at the Zoo. 

Is there parking?
YES! Seneca Park parking lots will be open and available. Please note that parking is very limited. We encourage you to arrive early by 7:15 a.m. to give plenty of time to park and walk to the lower park and Starting Line. Premier Parking services will be on-site to help guide participants to available parking spaces. The entrance/road into Seneca Park will close promptly at 7:30am and will not re-open until after the last person has completed the race. Participants will need to walk to the starting line located at the north end of Seneca Park.  

Is there an age limit to register?
Yes, anyone over the age of 7 years old to register. We have youth sized t-shirts so they show off their Jungle Jog pride! 

What time should we arrive?
Please arrive before 7:30 a.m. The road closes at 7:30 a.m. and you will need enough time to walk from your parking spot down to the Wegman Lodge in the northern end of the park. 

What time does the race start?
The race will begin at 8:00 a.m. 

What time does the Kid’s Fun Run start?
It begins around 9:00 a.m. near Wegman Lodge. Fun Run Participants will need to arrive prior to the 7:30 road closure to be able to park in the parking lot, otherwise you will need to find alternative parking and walk down to the lower park. 

Can I bring my stroller?
YES! This race is runner, walker, and outdoor stroller friendly. The path will be on a paved road, execpt for a small section where it travels on the Zoo's service road. The service road has a few bumps and when you go through "Step into Africa" there are some cobblestones. We found that most outdoor strollers seem to operate normally on the path.

Is my dog allowed?
No, we ask that you please keep a personal pet at home. Only registered service animals are permitted and they are not allowed to run in the race due to it going through the Seneca Park Zoo. 

What safety measures will be in place on race day?
We will have EMT’s as well as an Ambulance on site during the race. Staff will monitor the race and carry first-aid kits. 

Can I get a ride back to my car after the race?
No, we unfortunately do not offer personal rides back to your vehicle after the race. 

When do I pick up my race bib, T-shirt, and any other giveaways? 
The race-day packet includes your bib number and any giveaways (t-shirt, medal, Fierce Fundraising prizes) that are included with your registration. The event registration will close at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 19. No Day of Registration. Packet pick up days are:

• Thursday, July 17 from 4:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. @Seneca Park Zoo - 2222 St. Paul Street, Rochester NY 1461
• Saturday, July 19 from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. @Medved Running and Walking - 3400 Monroe Avenue, Rochester NY 14618 

Can someone get my packet for me?
YES! They just need to provide your name and or registration confirmation number.  

How do I become a fundraiser?
You can become a fundraiser by doing so at registration or selecting the “Become a Fierce Fundraiser” Tab at the top of the event page. 

I am a Virtual Participant – When and how can I log my Virtual results?
Virtual 5K will open for recording of results starting on Sunday, July 20 and will be open through Sunday, August 3, 2025. You may log your results via self-service by going to your RunSignUp profile, finding our event in your "Upcoming Events" or "Past Events" and then clicking on "Submit Results".  

When do I get my giveaways?
If you choose to have your swag shipped to you during registration those items will be mailed out after the in-person race starting the week of July 21, 2025. It takes about 1-2 weeks for shipping.  

What if I am waitlisted for a giveaway?
Thank you for your patience! We will place a 2nd order as soon as possible and contact you with the estimated delivery date. 

What is the Kid's Fun Run?
The Kid's Fun Run is opento children 10 years and younger. It is a short sprint, about 1/2 the length of a soccor field. No cost to participate, and each runner will receive a Fun-Run medal. The race is after the 5k begins, around 9:00 a.m. Adult do NOT need to register. 

Will there be refreshments?
We will provide post-race snacks while supplies last. Water refill stations are available through the race. We encourage everyone to bring a water bottle and help us keep this race eco-friendly by going ‘cup less’.  

Can I visit the Zoo after?
YES! We’d love you to visit Seneca Park Zoo after the race. Present your race bib at Admissions Booth or Member Booth and receive a free day-pass to enjoy on July 20, 2025.
