Event Description

JOIN US FOR THE 5th ANNUAL SPARTANBURG RUN FOR BABIES 5K!

Join us for the Spartanburg Run for Babies 5k!  In 2026, we are moving to Fifth Third Park, home of the Hub City Spartanburgers!  This 5k benefits March of Dimes and the incredible work they do each and every day. Every family deserves the best possible start. But that’s just not the case.
  • Each year, one woman dies every 12 hours from pregnancy-related causes
  • 1 in 9 babies in South Carolina is born too soon

With your help, we can change that. We are focused on one thing: helping more moms and babies be healthy and strong. Our annual March for Babies and Run for Babies Campaigns are our largest weapon against the heartaches that exist in maternal and infant health. We are looking forward to a day where every mom and baby is healthy regardless of wealth, race, geography, or race. We need your help to make that happen. We engage our local community with sponsorship opportunities, employee giving campaigns, volunteer engagement, advocacy efforts, and more.

2026 Spartanburg Ambassador Family

Introducing your 2026 Spartanburg Ambassador Family

Archer & Axel Sibley 💙💙

Finding out they were pregnant with twins was a shock for Kyra and Colton. Healthy, active, and reassured that di-di twins meant smooth sailing — no one expected their big baby boys would completely change the course of their pregnancy.

At 29 weeks and 5 days, Archer Eric (3 lbs 6 oz, 15 inches) and Axel John (3 lbs 4 oz, 15.75 inches) made their entrance into the world — and began a 73-day journey in the NICU.

There were no immediate cuddles. No sweet photos. No joyful announcement of weights and lengths. Instead, there were wires, oxygen monitors, feeding tubes, and one hour a day to hold their babies. In the NICU, milestones look different — an ounce gained, oxygen lowered, 10 milliliters from a bottle, the first bath, moving to a bassinet, passing the car seat test.

The NICU is traumatic. It’s isolating. It’s exhausting.
But it is also where strength is discovered.

Kyra and Colton became fierce advocates for their boys, learning to ask questions, trust their instincts, and celebrate the smallest victories. Archer and Axel fought every single day — tiny, mighty warriors redefining resilience.

Seventy-three days later, they walked out of those hospital doors carrying both of their boys. Heavier and lighter all at once. Forever changed.

Their story is why we run. 💙
