This August, you'll be competing with B2L!
B2L is a GPS-collared wolf living in northern Minnesota within Voyageurs National Park. According to the Voyageurs Wolf Project, an organization focused on understanding the summer ecology and behavior of wolves, the striking fellow is estimated to be 2 years old. B2L has been confirmed as the dominant breeding male of the Vermilion River Pack, which recently formed along the southern boundary of a river of the same name. Voyageurs has been studying B2L’s predation behavior since mid-April and will continue intensively learning about this pack for the rest of the year (and hopefully years to come).
With massive territories and the ability to travel up to 30 miles in a single day, Wolf B2L is assured to serve up some tough competition! Be sure to keep up with his progress by visiting the Results page starting August 1 and searching Wolf B2L or bib number 368.
