Up with the loons this morning. Weather looks good; my weather app shows good racing temps and weather. A great summer day overall is forecasted but could be on the warmer side later! Resplendent in all the Northwoods fashion. :-) Let's get those walking and running shoes on and get the course! Good luck to everyone!!!! This should be FUN!
Early word...We've had a record of registrants yesterday - over 60 people. This set the record for number of participants in any of the 19 seasons. Take this into consideration for getting to race and race start; and also as you finish--we may have enough of some items but not of all.
JULY 4
7:00 - 7:45 AM Race area opens (MECCA Trail Cabin, Mercer).
Parking is along the road leading to the Trail Cabin. There is very limited parking beyond the Trail Cabin.
7:55 - 8:00 AM Pre-Race Announcements, Presentation of Color Guard.
8:00 AM 5K Competitive Race Start. 1 MI Fun Run/Walk Start immediately behind the 5K race.
8:15-8:45 AM Race Finish, Post-Race Completion Bag Pick Up. (Raffle prizes, provided by local merchants, are randomly placed in completion bags. Check to see if you're a winner.)
8:40-9:00 AM Announcements for Overall Female and Male Winners, Place Winners in Age Groups and Youngsters (<=10 years of age)
