14th Annual Canby Dahlia Run

Experience the 14th Annual Canby Dahlia Run—where flower fields, farmlands, and countryside charm guide every step. Whether you’re chasing a personal record or enjoying a brisk walk, this is a race like no other.

Organized by the Canby Area Chamber of Commerce, this event drew nearly 400 participants in 2024—and we’re aiming for even more in 2025!

 
Race proceeds support the Canby Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation (501(c)(3), EIN #99-2267273).

The Foundation’s mission:

+ Support workforce education in local schools
+ Develop career readiness programs

Race Overview

Distances:

+ 5K and 10K run/walk

Course:

+ Start and finish at Swan Island Dahlias
+ 2025 route confirmation coming this August
+ Mostly paved roads with a short gravel stretch; 10K includes a small grass segment leading to the finish

Timing:

+ Chip-timed by Athletic Timing
+ UHF coded bib chips
+ Live results available online and at the finish line
 
Registration:

+ INCLUDES: Official race T-shirt (deadline applies), finisher medal (deadline applies), free parking, and entry to the Swan Island Dahlia Festival
+ ADVANCE REGISTRATION: RunSignUp.com
+ RACE-DAY REGISTRATION: Opens 6:30 AM (if not sold out—updates on Facebook)
   Note: Prices increase closer to race day. Early registration is encouraged.

Race Day Schedule:

   6:30 AM – Check-in & Race-Day Registration
   8:00 AM – 10K Start (walkers line up behind runners)
   8:15 AM – 5K Start (walkers line up behind runners)
   11:00 AM – Course officially closes

 
Packet Pickup:

Locations and times will be posted mid-August on the event website and Facebook page.

Parking:

Free parking at Swan Island Dahlias (grass field) managed by venue staff
Carpooling recommended due to limited space
 
Course Support:

   Aid Station: Near start/finish area
   Water Stations: Located along each course—participants should also hydrate before the race
   Restrooms: Portable toilets at start/finish and mid-course
 
Policies & Restrictions:

   Distance Changes: May switch down in distance (no refunds; difference goes to Foundation as donation). No switching up on race day.
   Refunds & Transfers: Non-transferable, non-refundable.
   Pets: No dogs or pets on course; none may be left unattended in vehicles or at venue.
   Strollers: Not allowed.
   Wheelchairs/Handcycles/Barefoot: Welcome if terrain (pavement, gravel, grass) is manageable.
   Headphones: Allowed but not encouraged; one ear only for safety.
 
Weather:

This is a Rain or Shine Event—no refunds for weather delays or cancellations.
 
Finish Line & Awards:

All finishers receive:

   + Medal
   + Fresh-cut Dahlia
   + Free entry to the Swan Island Dahlia Festival
   + Top 3 male and female finishers (5K & 10K, chip times) receive awards—must be picked up on race day (no mailing).
 
After Party:

   + Water and light snacks at finish line
   + Food available for purchase from on-site vendors
   + Explore Canby’s downtown for additional food, drinks, and events (Canby Area Chamber of Commerce Events)
