11th Annual Kearny VFW Post #1302 Memorial 5K Run/Walk in Honor of SSG Jorge Oliveira Scholarship Fund

Upon arriving onsite participants must check in for a temperature scan and utilize the available hand sanitizer prior to registering or picking up their bib.

Please do not warm up prior to having your temperature taken at check in.

Bibs assignments have been aligned to each PREregistrant's EXPECTED FINISH TIME and will be used to establishing the participants start time AND release order. Lower bib number will be the first to be released from the starting line (mat). PREREGISTION is strongly recommend to ensure an appropriately slotted start time. The race staff will provide best efforts to accommodate the early release of runners with a low EXPECTED FINISH TIME that register RACE DAY.

Participants will be called up and release in order of lowest bib number (inserting race day entries where possible). Please ensure you are within range of the announcer just prior to the race start time. Each participant must maintain a 6ft perimeter from the next runner at all times. Passing is permitted maintaining the same level of distance.

Several results sets will be posted to ensure everyone can maintain the appropriate social distance. Please do not congregate around the posted results sets and give those interested in seeing their finish times ample time to do so.

An awards ceremony will be held at completion of the event. Medals will be awarded in the following Age Groups: Top three (3)  M/F in 1-19, 20-35, 36-50, 51-59, 60+ (adjustments may be made to the age groups to best balance the awards across the common ages within the field of registered participants).
