5k or 10k. You’ve got this!

The PTI 5k/10k Run on the Runway is held on the airport’s 9,000 foot parallel runway. This run benefits The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Greensboro Urban Ministry and Open Door Ministries of High Point. 

All are invited to come out to run or walk the runway. The 5k/10k on the Runway provides a smooth and flat surface. The entire race course will provide a close up view of the airport and surrounding area from the airfield. The course is wheelchair accessible and baby stroller friendly.

Bib & T-Shirt mailing allows you to get your bib conveniently mailed to your door! Add it to your registration for only $10. The deadline to add bib mailing is Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:59p ET. If you've already registered, add the Bib/T-Shirt mailing by clicking the BLUE button. If you're just registering, click the GREEN button.

Registrants who do not request a Bib/T-Shirt mailing need to attend the in-person Packet Pick-Up sessions on March 26 (High Point Fleet Feet) or March 27 (PTI Terminal - Entrance 4).

PLEASE NOTE: Mailings cannot be combined and each runner must purchase Bib/T-Shirt mailing separately. For the Kids 100-Yard Dash, we will mail one free Bib/T-Shirt for every corresponding adult registration.

Walk to Win Against Hunger

The 5k Walk to Win Against Hunger is an UNTIMED walk/run held at the same time as the 5k/10k timed runs. As a participant in the Walk to Win Against Hunger, you will be asked to create a fundraising page at PTIRun.com and recruit sponsors. The individual with the highest dollar level of sponsors will win prize(s).

Your steps benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina, Open Door Ministries of High Point, and Greensboro Urban Ministry in their fight against hunger.

The Rules

Cancellation Policy.  In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency, etc.), refunds will not be made.

Rules / Guidelines.  Sorry, but for safety reasons, we do not allow dogs, bicycles, inline skates or any means of transportation other than running, walking or wheelchairs. Running baby strollers are allowed but must have a minimum of 6″ wheels. Race Director reserves the right to reject any entry or to remove any participant from the course without explanation. NOTE: Because this event is held on an active runway, any participants who have not completed the event by 10:30 a.m. on the day of the event will have a vehicle pick them up and return them to the Start/Finish line.
