Bobcat Trail Challenge at Crosscut

The Bobcat Trail Challenge is a unique trail race, taking place on the challenging 5km XC Ski Race Loop at Crosscut Mountain Sports Center. 

Compete as an individual or as a team in a hilly 5k trail run.

Teams can be made up of 2 or more runners with the average finish time of all runners on the team counting as the Team Finish Time.

Start/Finish will be at the Crosscut Mountain Sports Center Ski Stadium- Parking lot "D" accessed from the Bridger Bowl Access Road.

Parking available, carpooling is highly recommended!

All racers will start at 10am and race 1 lap of the 5km Loop. Each member of the relay team will run one lap for a total of 4 laps per relay team. 

We will recognize:

Fastest Man (20+)
Fastest Woman (20+) 
Fastest Boy (19 and under)
Fastest Girl (19 and under)
Oldest Finisher
Youngest Finisher
Fastest Mixed Team (must have an equal number of men and women)
Fastest Men’s Team
Fastest Women’s Team
Fastest Young Team (average age under 15)
Fastest Old Team (average age over 65)
Fastest MSU Staff/Faculty Team (all team members MSU Staff or Faculty)
Best Team Name (keep it G, PG, or PG-13!)

Registration Costs:
5k Individual- $30
5k Team- $30 per racer (please ensure all team members enter the same Team Name at registration)

Race is capped at 250 participants

-Aid Station at the start/finish area with Gatorade, Costco snacks, and baked goods
-Custom BoCo Gear 5 Panel Race Hat (this hat with our custom design)
-An opportunity to push your limits on the gorgeous Crosscut trails at the height of fall
-Warm fuzzy feelings for supporting the MSU Ski Program- GoCats!
-Run with Bobcat skiers on our home trails! The same trails we'll race on at the 2026 NCAA Ski Championships Marc h 12 and 14, 2026.
