Santa Sunday

Celebrate the arrival of winter and the upcoming holiday season with more than 250 Santa's cruising down to South Ridge. All money raised benefits the River Fund. Santa's must be in full Santa-attire. This signature Sunday River event kicks off the holiday season in style.

How does it work?
250 pre-registered Santa's arrive at the resort in full attire, beard included. Not only is this event photo-worthy and has been featured on the likes of the Travel Channel, but it's for a good cause too. A new record this year, the in-hand donations made by participating Santa's is over $6,000 for the River Fund, a non-profit organization that supports youth education and recreation in the Greater Bethel region.

All pre-registered participants can check-in on Sunday, December 8, between 7:30-10:30 AM in the Welcome Center at South Ridge Lodge. Santa's who participate in the 11 AM photo shoot will receive an additional lift ticket valid through December 20, 2019. The photo shoot will take place slopeside at South Ridge and will last approximately 45 minutes. Pre-registered participants must arrive at check-in wearing all of the following items: a red Santa hat with white pompom, a red Santa jacket, red Santa pants, a Santa beard.  The lift ticket you receive at check-in is only valid until 11 AM. To continue skiing or riding for the day, you will need to show up at the scheduled photo shoot at 11 AM slopeside at South Ridge dressed in your Santa attire. At the conclusion of the photo shoot, a ticket valid through December 20, 2019, will be issued.

Spectators should also get to South Ridge by 11 AM to get a good view of the Santa's.
