Description

Join us for the 5th Annual North Shore Turkey Trot & Fun Run/Walk!

Kick off Thanksgiving morning with friends and neighbors in our beautiful North Shore community! Work up an appetite for that turkey and pie later in the day while enjoying one of two race options:

5K Run through the neighborhood
1-Mile Fun Run/Walk
Race Details:

5K starts at 9:00 AM from the beach
Fun Run/Walk begins at 9:05 AM
Both races start and finish at the beach
Strollers and well-behaved furry friends are welcome (just don’t forget to clean up after your pets!).

After the race, stick around for hot apple cider, donuts, and our award ceremony! Winners will receive a frozen turkey donated in their name to a local food bank—a fun way to celebrate while giving back to the community.

All registration proceeds support the beautification of North Shore, so invite your family and friends to join in this Thanksgiving tradition.

We can’t wait to see you at the beach! 🦃🍂🏃‍♀️

FAQ

What happens in the event inclement of weather?

  • North Shore wants to provide a safe race environment for all participants. Should there be a time that we feel it is unsafe to start a race or proceed with the race, once it has started, the following policy may be enforced;

Severe Weather: While lightning may be the most commonly thought of weather issue, there are many other conditions that could force us to make a change to an event (high winds, flooding, snow and ice, heavy rain, safety concerns on the course, etc.). Circumstances not related to weather (downed trees or power lines, local emergencies, etc.) can also impact an event. In some cases, these conditions may be obvious to participants, and in others they may only be known to race officials.

Modifications to a race can include delaying a race start, modifying a racecourse, postponing a race to a later date, or canceling an event. The Race Director reserves the right to make modifications to an event at any time, and we exercise this right in order to keep participants, volunteers, and spectators safe. While we love to race, safety is our #1 priority.

We promise to communicate issues to participants as soon as possible leading up to an event through e-mail and updates to our website. In some instances, we are able to make decisions several days in advance; other situations call for “game time” decisions.

The above conditions will be recognized as “an act of god” and will not result in the refunding of race entry fees or future race credits. Unfortunately, almost all race related expenses will have been incurred prior to the actual race. Should the race be forced to cancel, the financial impact on the race would not be any different than if the race was held in its entirety. Thus, refunding of entry fees would devastate the financial future of the race.

Can I bring my dog?

  • Yes! Friendly furry friends are welcome to participate. Please remember to pick up after your pet

Where should I park?

  • If possible, please drive your golf cart or walk to the race. In the event you are coming from elsewhere, please park at the Beach

Are there any snacks?

  • Yes, we will have coffee, donuts, and apple cider to enjoy post race
