Run The City 5k

The mission of the C.E. Byrd Football Booster Club is to uphold and enhance the storied legacy of our football program, ensuring its competitiveness and sustaining our century-long winning tradition.  Through dedicated support and community involvement, we strive to empower our student athletes, coaches, and fans, fostering excellence both on and off the field.  Together, we aim to build a strong foundation for future success while honoring our proud history of Byrd Football.

Race Date: Saturday June 29th, 2024

5k starts at 8:00 a.m.

Fun Run Starts at 7:30 a.m.

Course Description for the 5K run:  The run will begin and end on the track of the football field with a run through the South Highlands neighborhood, home of C.E. Byrd High School.

Entry Fee:  5k registration is $25 through June 14th

5k Late Registration:  $30 from June 15th to Race Day

Sleep in Supporter:  If you can’t make the race but want to show support.  Pricing is the same as the 5k registration (t-shirt included)

½ Mile Kids Fun Run:  The Fun Run will take place on the track.

½ Mile Fun Run Registration:  $20 through June 14th

½ Mile Fun Run Late Registration:  $25 from June 15th to Race Day

Packet Pick Up: You may pick up your race packet at Sportspectrum

Thursday, June 27th from 12pm-6pm

Friday, June 28th from 10am-5:30pm.

You may also pick up your race packet on race morning at the race site starting at 6:30 am. 

Awards: 5k Overall male & female,  1st and 2nd place male and female winners in the following age divisions:  14-Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Special Note:  Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
