Description

The Fitzgerald’s Lager Run 5K and The Nipper 2K are open to runners, joggers, strollers, & walkers and Benefits the Glen Ridge Community Fund.

Fitzgerald’s fees: 5K $35.00 inclusive of the RSU fee with a 10% USATF-NJ discount. Increasing to $40.00 beginning 12:00AM on April 9, 2025 then $45.00 on June 1.
The Nipper Two Kilometer Run: $25.00 inclusive of the RSU fee… Increasing to $30 on May 29, 2025 at 12:00 AM

We now have an option to run BOTH races for $60.00 inclusive of the RSU fee. Increasing to $70 on April 9, 2025 at 12:00AM

The Lager Run 5K Course is a USATF Certified, NET DOWN HILL route along the beautiful tree-lined, gas-lit streets of Glen Ridge, N.J. with a fast track finish. The race is also the USATF-NJ Masters Women’s 5K Championship but the event is open to all runners and walkers. $40 prior to 6/6/24 ; $50 6/6/24 and after. 10% discount for USATF NJ members prior to 6/6/24.

The Nipper 2K is a new course that is a fast net down hill course with a fast Hurrell Field track finish. USATF Certified: $30, no increase in price.

Commemorative New Balance singlets or there will be a limited supply cotton T’s to all registrants, top 100 M&F pint glass for the 5K plus medals to the first 180 finishers of The Nipper 2K.

This race will be held RAIN OR SHINE!

Fitzgerald’s Lager Run Update (post-race libations):
The State of NJ’s ABC requires us to issue wristbands to participants who wish to enjoy a post-race adult (alcohol) beverage. Participants can obtain their wristbands after picking up their bib at the Hoboken beer distribution tent, which is located near the baseball back-stop. This can be done before or after the race. Fitzgerald’s volunteers will check IDs to ensure participants are of legal age to consume adult beverages. (No bib, no id, no wristband). This additional step is mandated by the State of NJ-ABC.

The Lager Run 5K Course is a FAST, NET DOWN HILL route along the beautiful tree-lined, gas-lit streets of Glen Ridge, New Jersey. Fast track finish, USATF Certified.
The Nipper Mile is a double loop, net down hill course with a fast Hurrell Field track finish. USATF Certified.

LAGER RUN: Awards ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 PM. “Three Deep”
commemorative Lager Run awards in the following categories: Male & Female: First Overall;
<5; 6-8; 9-11; 13-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-55; etc., through all masters
divisions, plus first Glen Ridge resident male & female!
LAGER RUN Prize Money: Top Three M&F USATF-NJ $150/$100/$50
Nipper 2K: Male & Female: First Overall; Every Participant will get a finishers medal

From the Garden State Parkway Exit 148 (Bloomfield Ave).
• Travel west on Bloomfield Avenue approximately 1 mile. Hurrell Field is on the right.
• Use 865 Bloomfield Ave, Glen Ridge, NJ for GPS
• Look for race signs.
• OK to park on Bloomfield Ave. No Parking on Highland Ave.
Packet Pick-up & same-day registration is @ Hurrell Field.
