Chief Joseph Rust Buster

Work out that rusty classic technique and stretch your lungs at the 10KM Rust Buster to get you prepped for race season. Or just come have a good time looping through the Chief Joseph Trails located on USDA Forest Service lands with old and new friends.  3KM race skate or classic also available for those 12 and younger. 

• This race is the FIRST of the MT Nordic Cup Series! Everyone who participates in a Montana Nordic Cup race is automatically entered into the series and accumulates points at every race. • The race is capped at 70 participants total (10k plus 3k). Sign up soon!

• The trails will be open to recreationalists during the event. Please be courteous and share the trail. 

• This race will timed using "old fashioned" timing technology. Thanks for your patience in advance.

• Carpool. It's cool. It's fun. And we have limited parking. There is NO PARKING on HWY 43.

**If you were thinking about pulling out your wooden skis this year, you are in luck. In honor of Bill Sweet, a founding member of the Bitterroot Cross Country Ski Club, we are recognizing all wooden ski participants. If you'd like to participate with wooden skis and don't have any, get in touch. We might have a pair for you!
