Becker Strong 2nd Annual Memorial 5k

🏃‍♂️ Run for a Cause, Run for Mr. B 🏃‍♀️
Join us on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Brian Piccolo Park for the Second Annual Becker Strong 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk—a celebration of the life, passion, and legacy of Principal Robert Becker.

For over two decades as principal of Embassy Creek Elementary, Mr. B inspired thousands of students, staff, and community members not only through his leadership but through his infectious love for running and healthy living. An avid runner to his core, Principal Becker could be found lacing up his shoes and hitting the pavement—even during his battle with cancer—always encouraging others to stay active, challenge themselves, and live life to the fullest.

This special event honors his unwavering spirit and raises critical funds for sarcoma cancer research, helping others fight the same disease he bravely faced. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or simply someone whose life was touched by Mr. B’s kindness, your participation keeps his mission alive—motivating the next generation to live active, healthy, and community-minded lives.

If you can’t make it on Friday, packets will also be available for pickup on race day (Saturday, November 15th) from 6:00 AM to 7:15 AM at the race site.

Important Notes: 

• Parking is avialable at the park  for  $3 per vehicle as per park rules. 

• Registration price increases to $40 after October 15 

• Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female participants for  the 5k run/walk only.  Additionally the top runner in each age group in brackets of 10 will be awarded a first place medal.  Age divisions are as follows:  

• 10 and under, 11-15, 16-25, 26-35, 36-45, 46-55, 56-65, 66-75, 76 and over.
