Join us for the 7th AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K presented by LiveTrends Design Group, on July 4th in Downtown Clermont, Florida! Whether you're running 🏃♂️ or walking 🚶♀️, the course offers a great way to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends. Kick off your Independence Day with a healthy start 💪. The 2026 race returns to its roots, starting at Clermont City Hall, the site of the first-ever Freedom 5K in 2020. Check out the new course below—less trail, more fun! 🎉 Can't make it in person? No worries! You can still participate virtually and receive all the awesome race swag 🎽!

Important Notes:
All participants must be registered ✅. Anyone running without a bib may be subject to a misdemeanor charge and risk disqualifying the race ❌.
If you're pacing someone (a child, spouse, or friend), you must register as well.

Race day: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM 🕕 on the lawn by City Hall!
You can pick up race bibs for others as long as you have their QR code and correct name spelling. PACKETS NOT PICKED UP RACE MORNING WILL NOT BE HELD OR SHIPPED. Participants can transfer by logging back to their Run Signup profile and managing their event, depending on transfer deadlines.
Race Day Registration: Available online until 6:55 AM (if the race has not sold out). No on-site paper registration 🚫.
Group Pricing:
Team Discount: Teams of 4 or more receive $5 off per participant 💵.
First 3 registrants pay full price. After the team reaches 4 members, the first 3 will receive a $5 refund, and all subsequent registrations will reflect the discount.
Discount may not be combined with other offers (e.g., race bundles).

Strollers and Dogs:
Strollers: Please line up at the back of the pack 🚶♀️.
Dogs: Dogs are NOT allowed on the course 🐕. If you have a service dog, please contact the race director in advance. All runners with approved service dogs must start the race at the back of the pack and must be leashed at all times 🐾. Cannot run with a retractable leash.
Race Donations: Donations will benefit the Code 4 Initiative, a 501c3 nonprofit that helps Florida law enforcement families facing financial hardship due to catastrophic injury or death. This is the same charity that benefits from the Honoring the Fallen 5K organized by the Clermont Police Department 👮♂️.
Awards Ceremony: The awards ceremony will take place around 8:45 AM 🏆. Categories include:
Top 3 Male and Female Overall 🏅
Top Male and Female Masters (40+) 🏅
Top Male and Female Grand Masters (50+) 🏅
Top 3 Male and Female in 5-year age groups (9 & under to 80+)
Awards must be picked up during the ceremony and will not be held post-race.
Each award is a unique living art piece 🌿, created by LiveTrends Design Group, blending nature with design.

Participants who require a service dog must contact us in advance at flodashevents@gmail.com to receive approval and event-specific instructions prior to race day.

Yes, please send them a screenshot of your QR code ahead of time. Your QR code can be found in your registration confirmation email as well as in several race-week emails that have been sent leading up to the event.
Having the QR code ready will help make packet pickup quick and easy.
We have race day registration online only if the race is not sold out. It has sold out almost every year
Yes, there is plenty of free parking available throughout downtown Clermont.
We’ve provided a parking map on the website showing the various parking lots in the area, along with any roads or lots that will be affected by race-related closures. Please review the map before race day to ensure you do not park in an area where vehicles will be unable to exit until after the race has concluded.
We recommend arriving early to allow plenty of time for parking and getting to the start line. We look forward to seeing you on July 4th!
Yes. Restrooms will be available throughout the event area. There are city restroom facilities as well as portable toilets located on 8th Street near the start line. Additional city restrooms are available near the finish line in front of Suncreek Brewery.
For your convenience, city restroom facilities are also located along portions of the race route.
Yes. Due to Florida's summer heat, we will have three water stations positioned along the course to help participants stay hydrated. We encourage all runners and walkers to hydrate before, during, and after the race and to adjust their pace as needed based on the weather conditions. Miles .8, 1.8 and 2.5
The start line is located in front of Clermont City Hall at 685 W. Montrose Street, Clermont, FL 34711.
The finish line is located on Minneola Avenue between 7th and 8th Streets, directly in front of Suncreek Brewery at 790 W. Minneola Avenue, Clermont, FL 34711.
The start and finish areas are less than two blocks apart, making it easy to walk between them before and after the race.
Please refer to the Parking tab at the top of this page to view the event parking map. There are several free public parking lots available throughout downtown Clermont, as well as free street parking in designated areas.
We recommend reviewing the map before race day to identify the most convenient parking location and to avoid any areas affected by race-related road closures.

Yes! All participants receive a workout tank and a custom finisher medal as part of their registration.
Virtual participants have the option to pick up their race packet in person or have it automatically shipped to them at no additional cost.
All pacers must be officially registered for the event and wear a valid race bib. For the safety of all participants and to comply with event insurance requirements, coaches, parents, friends, siblings, or any other individuals are not permitted on the course unless they are registered and have signed the event waiver.
Any person found on the course without a race bib is considered a race bandit, will be asked to leave the course and may be removed by the Clermont Police Department.
