Kids 1/4 Mile Fun Run
Information
This 5k run, 3k walk, and Fun Run (¼ mile for children 10 and under) is the first on the Lake Run Club (LRC) calendar for the year and is held in historic Miller Park, the surrounding neighborhood and Miller Park Zoo.
USATF Certified Course!
Participants can pick up their bibs and check in on Friday from 4-6 pm at the pavilion or Saturday (race day) starting at 8:00 am.
Children's Fun Run begins at 9:30 am. Following the race, participants will head to the 2nd story of the pavilion for an after party, including a fun animal encounter! Awards for participation and best costume will be passed out along with snacks and refreshments.
5K & 3K begin at 10:00 am. Refreshments and award ceremony will be held on the main floor of the pavilion after the race. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards will be awarded to 5K participants for overall and age group finishers. An award for best individual and best team costume will be awarded to 5K or 3K participants.

Proceeds from this year’s event will go towards a new sloth exhibit in Miller Park Zoo's rainforest building! The Zoological Society raises funds that support our mission and partnership with the Zoo. Each year a project of greatest need is selected. Your participation in this event helps to enhance the visitor experience, provide exceptional care for our animals and to support global conservation initiatives.
