2026 Course Information

We are in the final process of permitting for our new 5K and 1 Mile routes. Both scenic routes wind through the beautiful Maryland Zoo exhibits. Please check back as our course maps should be available in the upcoming weeks.

Based on feedback from last year's participant survey, we've made several enhancements for our second year at the Maryland Zoo.

• This year, the 5K route will also extend through Druid Hill Park for a portion of the race to provide a seperate and safer course route from the 1 mile walkers.

• There will be clearer and increased signage along the separated routes for 5K and 1 Mile.

• We will have a dedicated water stop for each course.

• There will be a 10-minute staggered start with improved start line positioning.

• An extra check mat will be placed along the 5K course to ensure for accurate timing.

Stroller Policy

Strollers are welcome but for everyone's safety, participants with strollers should position themselves at the back of the start line for both events.
