CXB 5k

This is a chip timed event. Awards 1st through 3rd overall will be based on gun time (following USATF rules) ie. who crosses the finish line first.

For the safety of all runners, DOGS ARE NOT PERMITTED on the race course. Dogs are welcome to attend the post-race party.

Faster runners should line up towards the front of the starting line, slower runners and walkers at the back. Runners with strollers are asked to line up behind all runners without strollers.

All runners should have only 1 bib in their possession when running the race. Children in strollers should NOT have a bib and are not eligible to win age division awards.

ALL AWARDS will be scored using CHIP time. This allows each runner to be scored against all other runners in their age group regardless of where they start in the corrals.

• Open 5K – Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female

• Masters 5K – Top 3 Male & Top 3 Female Ages 40 and over

• Youth 5K –Top Male & Female Ages 13 and Under

In accordance with USATF guidelines, the top 3 men and women finishers will be automatically placed in the Open category. The next 3 men and women finishers age 40 and over will be placed in the Masters category. The Top male and female age 13 and under will be placed in the Youth 5K category.

Double Dipping of awards is not permitted; therefore, the top 3 Open finishers will not be eligible for Masters 5K or Youth 5K age group awards.

Open to children who can walk without the assistance of an adult and born between June 1, 2024 and October 1, 2018. No strollers, wheels, or crawlers.
