RTC July 4th 2025 - Swim/Ride/Social - Members Only!

The Event Lead is responsible for:
* Guiding the set up crew with the tent, games, tables, coolers, trash/recycling, etc.
* Checking in all swimmers and volunteer kayakers/SUP
* Giving the Safety Briefing for the Swim and the Bike
* Coordinating the Lead bike and the Sweep - No drop, Unsupported ride
* Food and beverages with Social Committee
* Clean up/tear down *Leave No Trace!*

We need an experienced volunteer driver with a vehicle that can pull the Club’s trailer from James River HS to the Park’s ramp and back less than a mile away (starting at 7:30am). Someone from the Club will meet the driver at the back of the HS parking lot and will help hook them up (*2” ball hitch required) and will follow to the kayak/SUP unloading area.

Help set up the tent, layout tables/table cloths, cuttlery, food, coolers, trash bags and recycle box, clean up, and return everything afterwards to the trailer.

* Must wear PFD, radio, whistle
* Must be comfortable with swimmers grabbing on to the front or rear of kayak
* Must be ready to throw line with PFD attached to swimmer

* Bright Swim Cap Required
* Swim up to the "dock" 750 yards and NOT beyond

Social will start at 10:30 am. Bring a chair, meet fellow Club members, enjoy the food! Please register if you plan to stay for the Social. We need to get an accurate count so that we can plan the food/drinks.
