Care and Share is a local food pantry that has been serving our community since 1985. Each week, Care and Share provides prepared food boxes to families in need, relying on volunteers, donations, and partnerships to keep shelves stocked. In the past year, rising demand and limited food supplies have made their mission even more important. With help from local businesses, food drives, and community support, Care and Share continues to provide emergency food and weekend packs for children in Franklin County Schools.
The Help Center NC's mission is to combat food insecurity by providing nutritious meals and groceries to people in need, addressing hunger, and ensuring access to food for all struggling with hunger and poverty. Their core services go beyond providing food, and are aimed to improve the quality of life, restore human dignity, and foster community self-sufficiency. They do this through their direct services, mobile pantry, diaper bank, youth enrichment program and senior support services. In addition to those services they host a quarterly pet program for families who can’t afford pet food and pet care. There mission is a collaboration of community support which creates a vital safety net against hunger.
