Statistics support nearly all societal issues facing us today can be traced back to a child growing up in a father-absent home. But what if a father is at home, and still absent? It's what we call the silent statistic; present but not engaged. This is every dad's fight. Family Lines’ provides ALL fathers (and father figures) with tools and opportunities to make a change. Leveraging the intentional space of fishing, Family Lines offers facilitated wilderness experiences, group curriculums, and workshops to target three significant areas of absence in fatherhood: physical, emotional, and spiritual absence.
We hope this year's race will be a tremendous success - our ultimate goal is to raise $10K! Family Lines is driven by a mission above money, our bottom line is to see dads and kids together. We work throughout the year to fundraise because we never want price to be the only obstacle that keeps a family from participating. $5K allows us to sponsor multiple families for a “Rod to River” fly rod building & fishing weekend, family fish-a-long trips, and monthly father support groups. $10K doubles the number of families we can reach! Let’s not let $ be an obstacle. Together we can fight absence in fatherhood - right here in Eureka.
