Because it’s 2026! We figured there’s no better (or more fitting) start time to celebrate a brand new year.
Cane Bay Elementary School in Cane Bay Plantation. The course begins and ends in the school parking lot and follows the community’s paved multi-use trails.
It’s a 5K (3.1 miles). The course is flat, smooth, and perfect for beginners, experienced runners, and families.
Your bib, ID, and some New Year’s energy! We’ll provide everything else you need.
Absolutely! Walkers are welcome. This is a community race meant for everyone.
Yes! We’d love your help on race day. Please select the "Volunteer" tab on this page to sign up.
Definitely! Kids of all ages are welcome — it’s a family-friendly event.
Yes! We just ask that stroller participants start toward the back for safety.
We love dogs, but no pets are allowed on the course.
All finishers receive a 2026 Hooded Sweatshirt (perfect for those chilly mornings) and free coffee or cocoa at the finish line.
Yes! Prizes go to the top three male and female finishers overall, plus age group awards for:
9 & under, 10–14, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, and 70
Yes, it’s chip timed by GO Race Productions.

Yes! The virtual 5K lets you run (or walk) anywhere, anytime, and still earn your race swag.
You’ll still get your 2026 sweatshirt mailed to you, plus all the bragging rights.
$35 for both the in-person and virtual 5K. Prices go up after October 22, 2025.
We’ll be out there rain or shine! Only severe weather may cause a short delay.
Parking is available at Cane Bay Elementary and nearby lots. Volunteers will be on-site to help direct you..
