Description
Twice the Grit, Double the Glory – Tackle the Dirty 30 XL on a Drop Bar bike or Mountain Bike at Lake Hodges! Choose your challenge: one lap or two of scenic single-track, rugged fire roads, and relentless climbs — all packed into a thrilling figure-8 course layout built for both drop bar (gravel bike) and mountain bikes. Starting and finishing at Lake Hodge main parking lot offers easy access to trailheads and beautiful support areas and don’t forget great community building! Riders will reconvene at a central aid station at the staging area after each lap — a great opportunity to refuel, regroup, and soak in the atmosphere before heading out again. The course design is configured as a figure 8, great spectating and easy to re-fuel. Hammer Nutrition Feed station is 1 and 2 at Sunset (just under the HWY 15) @mile 3.6 and 17.

COURSE:
- Diverse trail types: Expect a seamless mix of hard-packed gravel, smooth and rolling fire roads, punchy climbs, and technical singletrack — all hugging the scenic north shore of Lake Hodges .
- Flow and challenge: The route weaves through connecting areas like Raptor Ridge and Highland Valley Trail, offering both flowy descents and test-your-metals climbs. Lake view trails may also be incorporated for extra elevation and epic views.
- Distance per lap: 30 miles
- Elevation gain: Approx. 1,750 feet per lap (3,500 feet total for the 60-mile option)
- Route style: Figure 8 loop — riders pass through the main venue at mile 21 just over the halfway point of each lap.
