Sunrise Scramble 2026

It's SkiMo in WV.

Grab your ski gear that gets you uphill (and down) and join us for a sunrise scramble of snow enthusiasts heading up the slopes of Canaan Valley Resort State Park. The most fun you will have on the snow and going uphill.   It's snow and sweat all rolled into a super fun fundraiser.

Course inspection on Saturday afternoon is back for 2026 and you can start at 3 pm.

Don't forget to come up with the best costume.  Get ready to be awarded a silly award - Best Wedge, Best Crash, Lost Compass, and Best Herringbone are always up for grabs.

As per usual, the course will be determined by snow cover closer to the date of the race but you can plan on at least a similar route from previous years. 

KIDS AGES 11 AND UNDER WILL START A FEW MINUTES BEHIND EVERYONE ELSE FOR THEIR VERY OWN KIDS RACE

RACE CATEGORIES:
SKIN and SCALES categories with male and female divisions in each.

Kids:
11 and under
12 - 14
15 - 17

Adults:
18-29
30-40
41-50
51-60
61+

Scale-less Skate is all ages in with an overall male and female prize. 

NOTE: You are either in the scales or skins category.  NO SCALED SKIS ARE PERMITTED IN THE SKINS CATEGORY. 

NOTE: The scale-less skate category placement and divisions is subject to change based upon registrations.
