The Maine iCan Bike Camp, in partnership with the national nonprofit iCan Shine (www.icanshine.org), offers more than just a chance for children with disabilities to learn how to ride a two-wheel bike—it provides life-changing opportunities. Over the course of one week, riders gain far more than balance and coordination. They build self-confidence, develop a sense of independence, improve their physical health, and experience the joy of inclusion in a way that can shape their lives far beyond the camp itself.
Each year, up to 40 riders and their families take part in this transformative experience.
