I am running the Maine Marathon to raise money for Fleur de Lis Camp Circle Week.
Fleur de Lis Camp’s Circle Week is a free week of overnight summer camp for girls who have experienced the death of a parent. Circle Week integrates traditional overnight camp activities and fun with the opportunity to do some “grief work” in a safe and caring setting, under the guidance of an experienced Grief Team, surrounded by supportive peers.
Fleur de Lis Camp has over 95 summers of experience in the overnight camping industry. Fleur de Lis Camp knows the value of play and engaging in healthy activities. This expertise combined with the Circle Week staff’s experience makes Circle Week a safe space to engage in fun as well as to talk about the losses in the campers’ lives.
