Lake Country Freedom 5K & 10K

All the races start at Roosevelt Park on the Lake County Trail.  The trail is paved and super flat with very limited elevation change,

* the 10K will be two out and backs using the 5K course. There is construction on the new tunnel under Hwy 67 blocking the use or a portion of the trail.

Overall Male & Female will receive medals. Top 3 male & female finishers in 5 year age groups will receive a custom medal.  All finishers will receive a custom Lake Country Freedom 5K/10K Finisher medal.

You do not need to print it. We will need to scan the QR code on the receipt, though, so please have your email accessible on your mobile device or save a picture of your receipt with the QR code to your device’s image library.

The shirts are cotton and those registered noon June 20 are guaranteed a custom race shirt.  After that, shirts be available while on line supplies last. Any extra shirts will be distributed after the race on a first come first serve basis.

Bring the kiddos out for the Kiddos 1K.  All kids will get a bib just like Mom & Dad and they get a SCSE finisher medal.  The race is FREE for the kiddos if Mom or Dad are registered. Sorry no shirts for the kiddos and the race is really intended for kids under 10.

For every three registrations, we will refund $10.00 of your registration fee. Two ways to do it.

Facebook
At registration checkout, you will be given the option to share your registration on Facebook. If 3 people register from that post, shazam we will refund $10. 

Email
On your registration receipt, there will be a registration link. Share that link and we will refund $10 for every 3 registrations.
You can find the registration link by logging into your Run Sign Up account and email the receipt to yourself. The software will keep track of friends registering from your link and Facebook post.

We need volunteers for everything from goody bag stuffing to course marshals. If you or your group have an interest in volunteering, we would greatly appreciate the assistance.  All volunteers can run a future race at no charge.

Insurance is available for almost all of our events and can be purchased during the registration process. The insurance is offered through a third party. Here is the fine print:

Registration protection options allow your race participants to get reimbursed up to 100% if they cannot attend the event for a number of reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more. Registration Protector with Required to Work has the added benefit of protection in the instance that a race participant is required to work for a covered reason.

Registration Protection - The insurance premium is 6.75% of the registration cost (including processing fee), with a minimum insurance premium of $7.99 per registrant.
