Hello, dear friends & family.
I’m participating in the 2025 37-Mile Challenge to support the Sam Day Foundation and help fund research for kids living with the most destructive and forgotten cancers. I’ll be walking 37+ miles during September in memory of Ty DePaoli, a family friend who was a former student and the son of a longtime colleague. Ty was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma the summer before his senior year at Marist. He fought hard against this cancer for close to four years, including participation in the Sam Day Foundation (Sam Day, a boy from Portland, Oregon, was diagnosed when he was 9 and battled ES until his 15th year of life).
Ty's dedication to his faith and serving his community as best he could when his health allowed greatly inspired me. It is an honor to walk and pray in Ty's memory (and hopefully raise a little money). Please consider supporting my effort by donating $37—or whatever feels meaningful to you. Every dollar helps make a difference.
Thank you very much for your consideration. Much love, Julie
