The shock of losing my dad, James Victor Albo (11/11/48-09/29/23) is still so difficult two years later and knowing I have a community to support me and my family is what carried me through this last two years. My dad loved family more than anything else and was amazing taking videos and pictures of all of us, especially his five grandchildren. I was very fortunate to have had five grandparents be a part of my life even after becoming a mom. My great-grandmother Mollie died at almost 105, my Abuela Rosa lived into her 80s, and my Abuelo Abraham, Grandma Elaine, and Grandma Jack lived into their 90s. Losing my dad at age 74 was too soon and the grief support I have received from CBC helped me through a difficult first year and helps me to keep his memory alive and remind me that my dad and my grandparents are always in my heart.
Please donate towards my run to help me remember my dad and support all grieving families by raising funds for Children's Bereavement Center (CBC) to ensure we can continue to provide FREE grief support groups for children, teens, and adults in our community. When you make a gift to my Run/Walk, you are directly supporting grieving individuals who need support, camaraderie, and hope to lift from loss. All contributions benefit Children's Bereavement Center so that there are free grief support groups for all.
Thank you for supporting my Steps for Healing fundraising efforts and for helping me remember my dad!
