The Austin Peay State University Marching Band, known as the Governors Own Marching Band (GOMB), is a dynamic and spirited ensemble that brings energy, tradition, and pride to APSU’s campus and beyond. Comprised of talented student musicians, color guard, and twirlers from a wide range of academic majors, the band performs at all home football games, basketball, select away games, campus events, and community parades.

With a reputation for musical excellence and high-energy performances, the Governor's Own plays an essential role in creating an exciting game day atmosphere at Fortera Stadium and F&M Bank Arena. Their halftime shows blend classic hits, contemporary music, and precision marching, entertaining fans while showcasing the band's versatility and spirit.

Beyond performance, the GOMB fosters camaraderie, leadership, and school pride. Membership is open to students of all backgrounds, and scholarships are available for participants. Whether rallying the crowd with "Let's Go Peay!" or representing the university at special events, the Governor's Own Marching Band proudly carries on a tradition of excellence, service, and Peay pride.
