Founded in 1971, Emergency Physicians of Tidewater takes pride in the delivery of quality, compassionate and efficient care to the communities of Southeastern Virginia. As a physician owned and operated company, EPT has grown from a small group of Emergency Medicine pioneers into a dynamic partnership with over 200 dedicated doctors and advanced practice providers.

In addition to staffing five hospital-based and two freestanding Emergency Departments, EPT has established an Observation Medicine service line to better serve our patients.
